Closed beta coming

An After Effects copilot that shows its work.

extynt lives in a docked panel inside After Effects. It reads your project, proposes a plan, applies it in one undoable step, and keeps a receipt. It can undo its own work.

how it works

Precise, then reversible.

A model proposes intent. Deterministic software controls what actually runs in your project.

01

Read

extynt reads the whole project natively, with per-layer hashes so it knows what changed.

02

Plan

You describe a change. extynt resolves the exact targets and shows a plan before anything runs.

03

Apply

The plan runs as one undoable step, is verified against the live project, and leaves a receipt with before and after frames.

04

Undo

extynt can undo its own work, one step at a time.

speed

Native, not scripted.

A native After Effects plugin does the reading and verifying, so checking is cheap enough to do every time.

Measured in development on one Mac (Apple M4 Pro, After Effects 26.2.1). Your numbers will depend on your machine and project. Windows has not been measured yet.

bring your own model

You choose the model. extynt never runs or bills it.

Your provider, your key

Connect a model service you already use, such as OpenAI, Anthropic, xAI, DeepSeek or OpenRouter, or a local Ollama or other OpenAI-compatible endpoint.

Or drive it from Claude or Codex

extynt includes an MCP server, so Claude or Codex can read and change your project through the same bounded, undoable tools.

questions

Before you apply

Which platforms and versions?

The beta targets macOS and Windows with After Effects 25 and 26.

Does extynt run or bill AI usage?

No. extynt is bring-your-own-model. You connect your own provider and key, or let Claude or Codex drive After Effects through extynt's MCP server. Model usage is between you and your provider.

Where do my prompts go?

extynt's local sidecar runs on your computer and sends model requests straight to the provider you configured. They do not pass through extynt's servers. See the privacy note for exactly what the website and your account store.

Can it break my project?

Changes are bounded, checked against the live project, applied as one undo step, and recorded in a receipt. extynt can undo its own work. It is beta software, so keep your usual backups.
